About the group

An operations company that happens to build software

Most event technology is sold by companies that have never stood at counter six at 07:40. We started from the floor and built inwards, which is why our platforms are shaped like operational problems rather than feature lists.

Operating principles

Six things we hold to

These are not values on a wall. Each one costs us money in a specific, predictable way, which is how you can tell we mean them.

  • 01

We do not subcontract show day

The people who specify the registration system are on the floor when it runs. Every deployment has one named lead with authority to make decisions without a phone call.

  • 02

    Numbers before adjectives

We report seconds per delegate, cost per registration and latency in milliseconds. If we cannot measure a claim, we do not make it in a proposal.

  • 03

    Name the trade-off first

Every capability has a limit. We tell you where machine dubbing is the wrong answer and where on-demand printing costs you counter time, before you sign rather than after.

  • 04

    Design for the failure

Venue networks fail. We decide in advance what must keep working offline, what may degrade, and what may stop — then we test it by pulling the uplink at the dry run.

  • 05

We own the software we depend on

For anything that decides whether an event works, we build and host it ourselves. That is why a fix on show day takes minutes rather than a support ticket.

  • 06

    Your data stays yours

We are the processor, not the controller. You get a full export in a documented format, and our copy is purged on the retention date in the contract.

Group structure

Two brands, one voice

The colour tells you where you are. Gold is the operator. Cyan is the engineering division. The voice does not change between them — only the subject matter.

How we got here

From the floor inwards

  1. The problem

Event tech that demos well and fails on the floor

Organisers kept buying platforms that worked in a meeting room and collapsed against a real arrival curve, a real venue network and a real 07:00 start.

  2. VConnect

An operations company, not a software vendor

We started by running the room — counters, badges, halls, control room — and building only the software the floor actually needed.

  3. ZebIQ

The engineering arm becomes its own practice

The platforms we built for our own events turned out to be what other agencies and enterprises wanted. ZebIQ Technology LLP now sells that engineering directly.

  4. Now

Fourteen event services, twelve engineering services, seven platforms

One group, two brands, one voice. Gold for the operator, cyan for the engineering division.

Let’s build the room

Send us the date, the city and the headcount. We come back with sizing, staffing and a costed range.
